The 28th Amendment (Amen 28)

The United States Constitution has had 27 amendments. The last amendment was ratified in 1992. Some say that the USA has an Amendment Deficit Disorder, since many wonder if the USA would be better off with a few upgrades.

A Federal Constitutional Convention lets the states get together and create new amendments.

We propose that Amendment 28 (Amen28) be called the "Upgrade Justice Amendment".

Before we present Amen 28, let's ask 'What is an Attorney General?. An attorney general is the chief legal officer and chief law enforcement officer of a government.

In the US, 43 States have an ELECTED Attorney General.
Some States have APPOINTED Attorney Generals.   At the Federal Level, the Attorney General is APPOINTED by the President.

To summarize, Amen 28 would create a new, elected position of Chief Justice and move every aspect of Justice, Ethics, and Auditing to be under the jurisdiction and management of the Chief Justice.

Surely Amen 28 shall have several details added before ratification, including clarification of the Chief Justice relationship to the Supreme Court Justices.
